Origin: Georgetown, Texas, USA

DescriptionGeorgetown Flint has adopted its name due to an unusually good variety that occurs within Edwards Plateau, found distinctly throughout it's eastern fringe. In the early 1970s The “discovery” of a massive, newly exposed source of this world-class material came out of the Texas Crushed Stone Quarry south of Georgetown, Texas. Georgetown Flint quickly became extremely popular amongst the flintknapping community at the time.

Grade: Lapidary Grade
Appearance: Opaque
Inclusions: Other than the rind, Georgetown flint is almost inclusion free. there is almost never cracks in it.
