In the early 1970s the “discovery” of a massive, newly exposed source of this world-class material came out of the Texas Crushed Stone Quarry south of Georgetown, Texas. Georgetown Flint quickly became extremely popular amongst the flintknapping community at the time.

Chemical Composition: SiO2

Grade: Lapidary Grade
Appearance: Opaque
Inclusions: Other than the rind, Georgetown flint is almost inclusion free.
