Description: This is silicon carbide grit is a 50/50 blend of 46girt and 70grit. It can be used for flat lapping and tumbling.

Silicon Carbide is the most effective and best bang for your buck when it comes to any generic lapidary abrasive media. It is not sandblasting grade, it is lapidary grade.
I personally do not recommend this for tumbling, as the particles are so large that when I wash my rocks off in a mesh screen to clean them after the initial tumbling stage, the grit is too big to fit through the screen and ends up staying with my tumbling load the whole time, contaminating it throughout.
