Description: Sodalite is mineral that belongs to the feldspathoid group - the same group that includes moonstone, sunstone, and labradorite. Generally speaking, sodalite is famous for its striking blue color. These sodalite specimens are unique in that they feature a brilliant seafoam green hue instead, which is exceedingly rare to find in this mineral species.
These specimens are highly reactive to UV light. They fluoresce a bright neon orange color when exposed to long or shortwave UV. The color shift from green to orange is a striking contrast!
The green color of this sodalite variant aligns with the heart chakra, which is connected to emotional balance, compassion, and self-love. Green sodalite is believed to help open and heal the heart, fostering a sense of calm and emotional stability.
