Origin: Kasula District in the Kigoma region of western Tanzania, Africa
Description: This yellow opal from Africa is beautiful. It has no play of color as a yellow "fire" opal, but when you hit those transparent spots... its gorgeous.
Opal is known for cracking. Do not keep this stone wet. It has already been cured, so do not put it in a jar of water for storage.
You can get it wet while you're cutting it- but do not leave it in water for a couple days or more. this will re-saturate it and cause it to expand.
