Mined from: Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Description: This one of a kind citrine and calcite polished druze freeform statement specimen from Brazil features a warm orange-brown citrine druze face with cream to pale yellow calcite crystals scattered across the surface. The front is packed with small sparkling quartz points, with a few larger calcite growths standing out against the golden druzy background. The outer edge has been cut and polished into a rounded freeform shape, while the back keeps a more natural stone texture. It is mounted on a black metal stand, making it ready for display without needing extra support.
Citrine is the yellow to orange variety of quartz, and Brazilian material is well known in the crystal and mineral trade. Many citrine geode pieces from Brazil are heat-treated amethyst, which gives them stronger golden, orange, and burnt amber tones. Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral that commonly forms in open cavities and can grow alongside quartz in geode environments. In this specimen, the calcite adds a lighter contrast to the deeper citrine-coloured druze.
Spiritually, citrine is often associated with confidence, motivation, abundance, and a more positive mindset. Calcite is commonly linked with cleansing, clarity, and helping move stagnant energy. Together, citrine and calcite are often chosen for a bright, active display piece with warm colour and an upbeat feel.
