It is frequently found with malachite, azurite, turquoise, and other copper minerals; with malachite being present in these specific mineral specimens. Druzy chrysocolla is a variety of chrysocolla that features a coating of tiny, sparkling crystals (known as druzy or druse) on its surface.

Chrysocolla is strongly linked to the throat chakra and therefore can aid in clear communication and self-expression.
