Description: I'll be real with you- these remind me of baked goods. every time I see them I think of brownies. That being said, I have no Idea where in Morocco they are mined or what era they are from. All I know is that they are stromatolites and the color contrast is wicked cool.

I guess I should tell you- that a stromatolite, is a fossil of a cyanobacteria aka single celled organism. Some stromatolites date back to the first single celled organisms on earth! though there are still single celled organisms to this day- soooo these could be anywhere from 3.5 billion years old to a few million...
