Descripción
Description: This is a Burmese jadeite ring. There are two kinds of jade in the world: Nephrite and jadeite. The names date back to long before there were microscopes. Any rocks that looked like nephrite jade, were considered jade. Then, microscopes allowed humans to distinguish the difference, and the two stones actually have nothing in common, other than historical misconception. Yet, to this day, we still refer to them both as jade.
