Woolly mammoths were herbivores that ate mostly grass but also ate other types of flowers and plants. Woolly mammoths had long curved ivory tusks that could grow up to 15 feet. The ears of a woolly mammoth were smaller than an elephant we see today, being minimized by frostbite and heat loss from extreme cold weather.
