Mined from: Fish Creek, Fort St. John, BC
Description: This lot of selenite crystals are fluorescent under ultraviolet light, exhibiting an “hourglass” pattern that is not visible in normal light. They are also phosphorescent – the hourglass pattern remains briefly visible in a green hue in total darkness after the ultraviolet light source is extinguished. They fluoresce under longwave, midwave, and shortwave UV light, but they are brightest under mid-long wave.
These selenite specimens feature textbook selenite crystals with flawless structure, like a crystal model. They occurrence was in soft clay, which preserved and protected the crystals from weathering, meaning that they are almost flawless.
These specimen's are nearly identical to those recovered from the famous Willow Creek locality, near Nanton, Alberta. This lot, however, is from another lesser known site in Ft. Saint John, BC, called Fish Creek.
Selenite is typically linked with the higher chakras, such as the third eye (ajna) and crown (sahasrara) chakras. Selenite is believed to enhance spiritual connection and promote higher consciousness, aligning well with the crown chakra, which is associated with divine wisdom, enlightenment, and the connection to the universe. For the third eye chakra, which governs intuition, perception, and inner vision, selenite is thought to aid in clearing mental blockages and enhancing psychic abilities.
