Description: Abalone has many different species, this one is called Haliotis Kamtschatkana. Abalone is a mollusk or sea snail with feet and tentacles. They are found in many parts of the world and are considered a culinary delicacy. The shell of Abalone is highly durable. Microscopic calcium carbonate builds up like bricks and is stuck together by protein layers. These proteins absorb blows to the shell, while calcium carbonate prevents the shell from shattering.
Abalone shells can be used during cleansing rituals because it is a fire-safe vessel. i.e.: You can burn sage and charcoal pucks inside it. Abalone stimulates our intuition, offers peace, and promotes overall healing.
