The shell shows a worn tan to beige fossil surface with large scute and plate divisions still visible across the carapace. There are natural cracks, repaired areas, missing sections, and open pockets through the shell, which is normal for a fossil of this size and age. Additionally, one of the four fins is absent, possibly the result of an encounter with a predator, or lost to time during fossilization.
