Mined from: Minas Girais, Brazil
Description: This one-of-a-kind Vivianite with Ludlamite specimen from Brazil features pale to medium green Vivianite crystals alongside green Ludlamite, nestled inside a naturally rounded, iron-rich brown matrix. The specimen has a striking geode-like presentation, with green crystal clusters spread across a dark, earthy interior and framed by a textured, rust-colored outer rind. The crystal growth shows soft luster, translucent green tones, and natural white-to-cream mineral accents, giving the piece an organic and highly collectible appearance.
This specimen stands out for its unusual bowl-like matrix formation, contrasting green Vivianite and Ludlamite crystal pockets, and richly textured exterior. The combination of earthy brown host rock, dark interior matrix, and fresh green phosphate minerals creates a beautiful natural display piece with strong visual depth from every angle.
Vivianite is named after British mineralogist John Henry Vivian, who researched this mineral in the early 19th century. Vivianite is commonly associated with emotional healing, heart-centered awareness, compassion, renewal, patience, and gentle transformation. Ludlamite, another green iron phosphate mineral, adds additional mineralogical interest and is often appreciated by collectors for its rich green color, rarity, and association with classic phosphate specimens.
