Description: This one of a kind Celestite mineral specimen from Madagascar features a rounded natural geode form filled with blue-grey to smoky blue Celestite crystals. The open cavity reveals glassy, sharply formed crystals with larger points and blocky growths surrounded by smaller sparkling crystals along the rim. The outer matrix is left natural, with pale grey, cream, and earthy beige tones that contrast beautifully against the cool blue crystal interior.

Celestite, also called Celestine, is a strontium sulfate mineral known for its soft blue colour, high specific gravity, and attractive crystal-lined geode formations. Its name comes from the Latin caelestis, meaning “heavenly” or “celestial,” a reference to the mineral’s delicate sky-blue colour.
