Description: These Ammonites from England are guaranteed to have an ammonite inside the limestone. They are, however, not the easiest to crack. A bricklayer's hammer is best. A blunt tool, and the platform you crack them on matters too. A stump with a divot in it is best.

There are many YouTube to help you learn how to crack it best or watch others do so first. It all boils down to these ammonites being stubborn and often not cracking well. Some suppliers recommend getting a minimum of four to guarantee you get one good one out of the experience.

Ammonites are an extinct form of mollusk that thrived in the seas during the time of the dinosaurs and are related to squid. Ammonites were born with tiny shells and, as they grew, they built new chambers onto them. They would move their entire body into the new chamber and seal off the old smaller chamber.
