Mined from: Pakistan

Description: These quartz crystals contain small pockets of moving water trapped inside them. During the growth of the quartz crystal, water (or sometimes other liquids) can become trapped within the cavity where the crystal is forming. This water becomes sealed off as the crystal continues to grow around it. As the crystal grows, the cavity containing the liquid may become completely enclosed by the quartz matrix. Sometimes, there is enough space within the cavity for the liquid to move around, creating a dynamic moving "bubble" within the crystal that changes position as the specimen is manipulated.

The enhydro bubbles in this lot are trapped within small crystals of diamond quartz. Diamond quartz is a special type of symmetrical quartz crystal that is naturally double terminated, meaning they have points or terminations at both ends of the crystal. This gives them a unique appearance similar in shape to the classic outline of a diamond. These are just like the famous diamond quartz specimens from Herkimer County, New York, only these ones are from Pakistan and have water bubbles trapped in them.

*Note: these specimens are priced based on the visibility of the water bubble trapped in them. Lower grades will have smaller bubbles that are less dynamic and harder to find than higher grades, which will have larger, easier to spot bubbles that move over good distance within the specimen*
