Description: This one-of-a-kind Fluorite specimen from China features a dense cluster of pale green to nearly colourless crystals with a soft, translucent appearance. The intergrown crystals show frosted, lightly textured faces with subtle stepped growth, while patches of pale drusy material and grey matrix remain visible across the surface and underside, adding natural contrast and texture.

Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral, CaF₂, named from the Latin fluere, meaning “to flow,” because it was historically used as a flux in metal smelting. It occurs worldwide in hydrothermal veins and mineralized deposits and is especially prized by collectors for its exceptional range of colours and well-formed cubic and octahedral crystals. China has become one of the world’s most important sources of collectible fluorite, with the mineral districts of Hunan Province particularly famous for producing large, pale green and highly aesthetic crystal clusters.
