Pyrite crystallizes in the isometric system, which can lead to the formation of well-defined cubic crystals with sharp edges and smooth faces.
These pyrite skull carvings are made of lustrous Peruvian pyrite, with well-polished smooth sections as well as cavities that show off the fully formed crystals inside. The cavities give you a look into the skull, almost like you can see the brain through the cracks.
