Description: This one of a kind Rose Quartz sphere from Brazil has a soft pink to rose-pink color with a mix of translucent and cloudier internal areas. The polished surface brings out broad internal fractures, natural veils, and overlapping crystalline planes that give the sphere plenty of depth without looking overly uniform. Some sections are clearer and more saturated pink, while others shift into pale, milky tones. Small internal reflective surfaces and occasional rainbow flashes can also be seen where light catches the natural fractures.

Rose Quartz is the pink variety of quartz and gets its color from microscopic mineral inclusions and structural features within the silica. Brazil is one of the world’s major sources of Rose Quartz, with large deposits occurring in pegmatite-rich areas of Minas Gerais. Rose Quartz has been used as an ornamental and lapidary stone for centuries. Large pieces of Brazilian material are commonly cut into spheres, freeforms, carvings, and decorative objects because the material can take a good polish while retaining the cloudy internal structure typical of natural Rose Quartz.
