Description: These polished ammonite faces from Morocco are cut and finished to reveal the internal chamber structure of the shell. Each piece shows the classic spiral form with clearly defined chambers that once helped regulate buoyancy when the animal was alive. The polishing brings out contrast between the fossilized shell and the surrounding matrix, often highlighting fine details in the septa and growth patterns.

Ammonites lived in ancient seas during the Mesozoic era and were rapidly buried in sediment after death, allowing their shells to fossilize over millions of years. Moroccan deposits are especially known for producing well-preserved ammonites that cut cleanly and display internal features clearly. These pieces offer both a scientific look at prehistoric marine life and a clean, display-ready fossil.
