Description: The copper laps are clean; in the photos they appear to have weird patterning. but it is just oil residue from the machine oil being pressed on under a shrink wrap coating to keep them clean.

Copper laps are for faceting. They are to be scored with a knife and impregnated with diamond powder or any other polishing particle type. The softness of the copper will gum up and hold the particle within. Keep them clean and you can use them over and over. They are a classic carrier for a charge.

Once used for a certain particle type and size, it should not be used for any other. Place it in a well labelled zip lock bag to keep organized and clean.
