Description: These fresh water fish are Sticklebacks that are have been preserved in this Diatomaceous Earth plate. The rust/orange colour makes us wonder how they died, possibly a mass die-off from an ash fall event or algal bloom. This fossil is extremely delicate so it is encouraged not to disturb it once it is on display.
