These unusual desert stones often show raised ridges, knobby points, and weathered surface texture, giving each piece a distinct sculptural look. Their dense, heavy feel and natural iron oxide composition make them interesting collector pieces, especially for those drawn to desert minerals and unusual pseudomorph formations.

Prophecy Stones are generally considered iron oxide / iron hydroxide pseudomorphs, commonly described as limonite, goethite, or hematite after marcasite or pyrite.
