Description
Mined from: Mibladen Mining District, Midelt Province, Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
Description: This one of a kind Vanadinite mineral specimen from Morocco features a dramatic blanket of deep brick-red to reddish-brown crystals covering a large earthy matrix. The surface is richly textured with countless small, glossy hexagonal crystals, accented by larger blocky crystal clusters along the upper ridges. The specimen shows strong natural contrast, with dark black-brown matrix patches and warm golden highlights peeking through the red crystalline coating, giving it an especially bold display presence.
Vanadinite was first recognized in the early 1800s and is best known as a secondary lead vanadate mineral, forming through the oxidation of lead-bearing minerals in arid environments. Morocco is one of the world’s most famous sources of collectible Vanadinite, especially from the Mibladen and Taouz mining districts, where striking red crystals are often found on barite or iron-rich matrix. Its vivid color, high luster, and sharply formed hexagonal crystals make it one of the most recognizable collector minerals from North Africa.
Spiritually, Vanadinite is often associated with energy, focus, motivation, and creative drive. Many people connect it with stamina and productivity, using it symbolically as a stone for determination, grounded action, and staying committed to long-term goals. Its fiery red-orange tone is often linked with the root and sacral chakras, giving it associations with vitality, confidence, and physical presence.
