Description

Mined from: Needles, British Columbia, Canada

Description: Fairy stones, also known as clay babies, are clay concretions that form when mineral-rich fluids percolate through sedimentary rock layers. As these fluids move through the porous sediment, they carry dissolved minerals to the surface through small pores or cracks in the rock where the solidify into hardened clay. As the concretion grows, the minerals solidify, binding the sediment grains together into a cohesive structure. As more and more minerals are deposited on top of the concretions, they continue to grow into elongated sticks.

Clay, as an earthly material, resonates with the grounding qualities of the root chakra. The root chakra governs our sense of stability, security, and connection to the physical world. Clay babies symbolize the foundation of our physical existence and the potential for growth and stability in life.
