Description: This one of a kind green Aquamarine specimen from Nagar District, Pakistan consists of a thick, partly transparent beryl crystal with a pale yellow-green to greenish-gold colour. The crystal has a broad hexagonal prismatic form, flat reflective faces, visible growth lines, and a partly stepped termination. Internal fractures and veils catch the light through the clearer sections, while rusty orange iron staining follows several surface seams near the upper end. A small amount of pale matrix remains attached along one edge, and the natural contact areas and minor edge wear are visible throughout.

Aquamarine is the greenish-blue to blue variety of beryl, although material with a stronger green or yellow-green cast is sometimes sold as green Aquamarine or green beryl. Its colour is generally caused by iron within the crystal structure. Northern Pakistan is an important source of specimen-grade Aquamarine, with crystals recovered from high-altitude granitic pegmatites throughout Gilgit-Baltistan. Nagar District includes several recorded Aquamarine localities, including Chumar Bakhoor, Mandoosh-Bar, Phakker, Muchara Nala, and Inna Nala. The exact mine for this loose crystal cannot be confirmed from photographs alone.
