Description: Mexican fire opal is very light in weight and has a very luscious red colour. the spectrum does span from colourless to yellows oranges and reds. Some have play of colour where we say it is "firing", which is a verb. the verb for the colour flashes is different than the noun of "fire opal"- which describes the base colour of the opal as reds and oranges.

Appearance: Transparent/ Translucent
Inclusions: Some cracks and mix between translucent and transparent, but we have tried to isolate the transparent ones with at least one good large clean spot for a larger faceted stone to be cut from it.
