Description: These are assorted petrified wood slabs amassed from all over the world. Almost all are brown with beige and blacks.

Petrified wood is a type of fossil. Wood buried in sediment or volcanic ash soaks up silica from groundwater. The silica coats and fills the cells, so the wood's structure is preserved in stone. The result is a beautiful, often colorful stone that retains the grain and texture of the original wood.

Inclusions: Some fractures, minimal rinds
