Description: Georgetown Flint has adopted its name due to an unusually good variety that occurs within Edwards Plateau, found distinctly throughout it's eastern fringe. In the early 1970s The “discovery” of a massive, newly exposed source of this world-class material came out of the Texas Crushed Stone Quarry south of Georgetown, Texas. Georgetown Flint quickly became extremely popular amongst the flintknapping community at the time.

Inclusions: Other than the rind, Georgetown flint is almost inclusion free. there is almost never cracks in it.
