Mined from: Khuzdar region, Balochistan Province, Pakistan
Description: This blue aragonite from Pakistan has that tight, rounded growth you see when crystals pack in close and grow outward in all directions. You’ve got these dome-like clusters made up of fine needle-like crystals, giving it a rough, spiky texture up close but a smooth, rounded look from a distance. The color runs from pale blue to a slightly greenish-blue, with some areas showing a bit of tan matrix still attached. It’s not polished or flashy—it’s more of a natural buildup piece, where the structure is what really stands out.
In this part of Balochistan, aragonite forms when calcium-rich water moves through limestone and starts depositing material in open spaces or fractures. As that water evaporates or chemistry shifts, it leaves behind calcium carbonate in the aragonite structure instead of calcite. The blue color usually comes from trace copper in the system, which gets picked up during formation. These rounded clusters form as crystals grow outward from central points, building those radial, almost flower-like shapes you see across the surface.
Blue aragonite is often associated with calming energy and staying level when things feel off balance. People tend to use it as something that helps take the edge off stress and keep communication steady and clear, especially when things start getting tense or overwhelming.
