Its name comes from the Latin calx, for burnt lime. It has a hardness of 3, cleaves perfectly into rhombohedra and may fluoresce in many colours under ultraviolet light.

This one of a kind Honey Calcite large statement specimen from Mexico features a dense cluster of sharp, bladed to scalenohedral Calcite crystals in warm golden-yellow, amber, caramel, and smoky brown tones. The crystals form a dramatic, sparkling surface with many pointed terminations and layered translucent faces. Darker internal zoning and iron-rich inclusions create beautiful contrast within the honey-colored Calcite, while the pale white to clear Calcite areas along one side add brightness and depth to the overall display.

Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral and one of the most common and diverse minerals on Earth, forming in a wide range of crystal shapes and colors. Honey Calcite is especially admired for its warm golden coloration, which is often caused by iron or other natural inclusions. Mexico is well known for producing excellent Calcite specimens, including golden, orange, clear, and dogtooth forms from numerous historic mining regions.

In crystal traditions, honey calcite is associated with confidence, motivation and clarity.

Quantity: 1pc

With this product, you will get the actual stone in the photograph.
