描述
Mined from: Michigan, USA.
Description: These specimens are naturally occurring nuggets of copper metal found in Michigan's upper peninsula. The story of their formation begins during the Precambrian era, around 1.1 billion years ago, the region that is now Michigan experienced volcanic activity and the formation of large magma chambers beneath the Earth's surface. These magma chambers contained significant amounts of copper and other metals. As the magma cooled and solidified, copper minerals formed within the rock. Over time, geological forces such as erosion and weathering exposed these copper-rich rocks at the surface. Subsequent glaciation events further eroded the rock, releasing native copper into the environment. The native copper nuggets found in Michigan were likely transported and deposited by glaciers during the last Ice Age, which ended around 10,000 years ago. Glacial movement scraped and carried the copper nuggets along with other sedimentary material, eventually depositing them in various locations across the landscape.
These specimens are lightly tumbled to display their natural copper coloration and beautiful metallic luster, which is generally hidden by surface weathering.
In metaphysical practices, native copper is associated primarily with the Root Chakra, also known as the Base Chakra. The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with feelings of stability, security, and connection to the Earth. Native copper is believed to have grounding properties, helping to establish a strong connection with the Earth's energy. It is said to promote feelings of security, stability, and survival instincts, which are associated with the Root Chakra. By balancing and aligning the Root Chakra, native copper is thought to help individuals feel more grounded, centered, and secure in their physical existence.

*Note: the shapes of these specimens are highly variable - some are flattened or stretched out, while others are solid dense spheroid nuggets. As a result, the size estimations provided are only rough approximations. Weights will still be within the provided ranges, but the specimens may vary in length or width depending on overall shape.
