Description: Indian Sunstone is a variety of the mineral oligoclase, a sodium-calcium aluminum silicate which is a member of the feldspar group. This variety of oligoclase has a glittery shimmering iridescent effect caused by hematite and goethite inclusions within the stone. Hematite inclusions create a red or brown shimmer, and goethite further contributes to the glittery effect.

Indian sunstone is often valued not only for its physical beauty but also for its metaphysical properties. Indian sunstone is commonly associated with the Sacral Chakra (second chakra).
