Description: Blue aragonite is a form of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), prized for soft blues reminiscent of the Caribbean Sea. Similar banded material is sometimes sold under the trade name "Caribbean Calcite."  Copper is the primary impurity responsible for the blue color of blue aragonite. Copper ions within the crystal lattice can absorb light in the orange and red regions of the spectrum, leading to the characteristic blue coloration. 

Blue aragonite is said to have a gentle and calming energy that promotes relaxation and tranquility. It may help alleviate stress, anxiety, and emotional tension, allowing individuals to find inner peace and serenity.
