Beschreibung

Mined from: Morrison Formation, Utah, U.S.A.

Era: Mesozoic
Geological Age: 155–148 mya

Description: This one of a kind dinosaur bone fragment from Utah has a thick, blocky shape with a polished dark face and rough natural bone texture along the top and sides. The polished section shows black, deep brown, burgundy, grey, and pale mineral-filled areas, with preserved bone cell structure visible through the surface. The piece has a solid, heavy display look while still keeping its raw fossil exterior.

The Morrison Formation is a Late Jurassic dinosaur-bearing rock unit from the western United States. During fossilization, mineral-rich groundwater moved through the porous bone, preserving the internal texture while replacing or filling the original bone material with stone.

Spiritually, dinosaur bone is often associated with strength, grounding, endurance, ancient memory, and survival through deep time. This chunkier fragment has a strong, earthy presence and suits collectors who like fossils that feel substantial and natural.
