Description: This one of a kind Amethyst cathedral geode statement specimen from Brazil features a tall, naturally formed cavity lined with dense purple Amethyst crystals. The colour ranges from pale lavender along the edges to deeper purple through the center and upper cavity. A thick border of white to clear quartz surrounds the Amethyst, followed by a narrow band of blue-grey agate and the original dark basalt exterior. The flat-cut base allows the geode to stand securely, while the open front gives a full view of the crystal-lined interior. Natural fractures, small mineral deposits, uneven crystal growth, and minor edge wear are visible throughout and are normal for a specimen of this size.

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, and Brazil is one of the best-known sources in the world for large cathedral geodes. These pieces formed inside volcanic rock cavities, where silica-rich fluids slowly deposited layers of chalcedony, quartz, and amethyst crystals inward over time.
