Description: This one-of-a-kind emerald is a 3.60 carat pear cut, a teardrop-shaped brilliant with one rounded end and one point, faceted with triangular and kite-shaped facets radiating out from the table. It shows a deep green colour with the natural internal features emeralds are known for.
Emerald is the green variety of the mineral beryl, a beryllium aluminium silicate. Its green colour comes from trace amounts of chromium and/or vanadium in the crystal. Almost every emerald contains visible inclusions and tiny fractures, and the trade has long called this inner landscape the stone's "jardin", French for garden. Emerald is the traditional birthstone for May.
Metaphysically, emerald is associated with love, renewal, patience and growth. These associations come from spiritual and crystal traditions rather than scientifically established properties.
