Mined from: Cabiche, Quipama Municipality, Western Boyaca Province, Boyaca Department, Colombia

Description: This one of a kind Mango Quartz with Halloysite mineral specimen from Colombia features a dense cluster of clear to lightly cloudy quartz crystals with warm yellow to golden coloration concentrated near many of the terminations. The specimen has a mix of tall prismatic crystals and smaller secondary growths packed tightly around the base, giving it a full, layered structure. Several of the larger points are well formed with distinct hexagonal faces and sharp terminations, while natural inclusions and darker mineral staining add contrast through the cluster. The yellow coloring associated with Halloysite gives the quartz its familiar “mango” appearance without overpowering the natural transparency of the crystal.

Mango Quartz is a Colombian variety of included quartz, named for the golden-yellow to orange tones created by Halloysite, a hydrated aluminum silicate clay mineral. This material is best known from the Cabiche area near Quipama in Boyaca Department, Colombia, and is often associated with the broader Muzo emerald mining district. Its combination of transparent quartz and warm internal Halloysite inclusions has made it a distinctive modern collector material.

Spiritually, Mango Quartz is often associated with joy, warmth, creativity, and energetic renewal. Quartz is commonly regarded as an amplifying stone, while the sunny Halloysite coloration is often connected with optimism, motivation, and personal confidence.
