Description: This one of a kind Megalodon tooth fossil specimen from Florida features a striking two-tone appearance, with a warm tan to gray-beige enamel blade and a darker brown to black fossilized root. The tooth has a broad triangular form with a gently curved profile, fine vertical enamel striations, and visible serrations along the edges. Natural mineral staining, small chips, surface weathering, and root texture are present throughout, giving the piece an authentic prehistoric look and strong display presence.

Megalodon, scientifically known as Otodus megalodon, was one of the largest predatory sharks to ever live, roaming ancient oceans roughly 23 to 3.6 million years ago. Fossil teeth are the most common remains because shark skeletons are made mostly of cartilage, while teeth fossilize much more easily.
