Mined from: Besednice, Czech Republic

Description: One-of-a-kind Moldavite specimen from Germany featuring a thin, shard-like form with smoky olive-green to gray-green translucency. The piece has naturally irregular, jagged edges, a glassy surface, and etched flow-like textures across both faces, with darker internal banding visible through the body. Its lightweight, sculptural shape and semi-transparent edges give the specimen a distinctive tektite appearance, and the exact piece shown is the one offered.

Moldavite is a natural impact glass, or tektite, formed during the Ries meteorite impact event in southern Germany roughly 15 million years ago. While most Moldavite is recovered from the Central European strewn field, especially areas of the Czech Republic, its origin is tied to the Nördlinger Ries impact structure in Bavaria, Germany. Unlike crystalline minerals, Moldavite is amorphous glass, with a silica-rich composition and no true crystal system.

Spiritually, Moldavite is often associated with transformation, rapid personal growth, heart-centered energy, and spiritual awakening. Many crystal collectors and metaphysical practitioners connect it with clearing emotional blocks, encouraging change, and amplifying intention, making it a popular stone for those drawn to high-energy tektites and cosmic-origin specimens.
