Description: This one of a kind Mosasaurus vertebrae fossil in jacket from Morocco is a large statement specimen featuring multiple vertebrae and scattered bone sections preserved across a broad sedimentary matrix. The piece has a sandy tan to light brown colour, with round vertebral centra, rib-like fragments, and irregular fossil bone exposed throughout the prepared surface. The jacketed edge and rough matrix backing give it a field-collected look, while the size and layout make it suitable for display on a stand, table, or fossil feature wall.

Mosasaurus was a large marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, roughly 66 to 82 million years ago. Moroccan mosasaur fossils are most commonly recovered from phosphate deposits in the Khouribga and Oulad Abdoun Basin region, an area well known for marine reptile fossils, shark teeth, fish remains, and other ocean life from the end of the dinosaur age.
