Description: This one of a kind petrified wood fossil statement specimen from Arizona, U.S.A. is a large upright fossil wood section with strong natural bark texture, blocky broken faces, and heavy vertical grain structure still visible throughout the piece. The specimen shows a rugged mix of rusty red, brown, tan, cream, grey, and darker smoky mineral tones, with some areas showing a glassier silica replacement where the wood has fully petrified. Its stepped shape, rough surface, and large size make it better suited as a display fossil or showroom statement piece rather than a polished furniture slab.

Arizona petrified wood is best known from the Petrified Forest region, where ancient trees from the Late Triassic period were buried in river sediments and slowly replaced by silica-rich minerals. Over time, the original wood structure was preserved while the organic material was replaced by quartz, chalcedony, jasper, and other mineral staining. Arizona material is especially known for its red, brown, yellow, grey, black, and cream colouring caused by iron, manganese, and other trace minerals.
