Origin: Cowichan Lake and 100 Mile House and Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada
Description: Most of this rhodonite is from Cowichan Valley. There are however pieces added from when I dug at the 100 Mile House mine. Rhodonite has a black exterior due to oxidization. The interior has a beautiful pink color. Sometimes it will be more pale and white, almost fleshy. It can also go grainy and rosy red. The color ranges, even in pieces side by side coming out of the ground. There are also yellow pieces coming from our mine in Cowichan Valley.
It takes a nice polish. Plus, how many rocks are PINK!?
