Locality: Little Green Monster Variscite Mine, Clay Canyon, Fairfield, Sunshine Mining District, Utah County, Utah, U.S.A.

Description: Variscite is a beautiful light green hydrated aluminium phosphate. It is soft, like turquoise. The white matrix can be rather crumbly.

Chemical Composition: AlPO4·2H2O

Grade: Semi Precious
Appearance: Opaque
Inclusions: Matrix (white) can have a lot of cracks
