Description: This one of a kind Black Amethyst specimen from Brazil features a bold, upright geode section with a dramatic natural silhouette and a richly textured crystal face. The surface is covered in dense, sparkling micro-crystals ranging from deep black-purple to smoky lavender-gray, with lighter quartz edging and patches of rugged brown-gray matrix visible along the sides and back. Its tall sculptural shape, glittering druzy surface, and raw exterior make it a striking large statement specimen for display.

Black Amethyst is a dark variety of Amethyst, often coloured by deep purple quartz, smoky quartz tones, iron-rich inclusions, and natural mineral staining. Brazil is one of the world’s most important Amethyst-producing countries, especially in the southern basalt regions where large geodes form inside ancient volcanic cavities. The Rio Grande do Sul region is particularly known for producing Amethyst geodes, cathedral formations, and dramatic darker Black Amethyst display pieces.
