Description: Quebec is known for its diverse geological formations, and calcite can be found in different areas throughout the province.
Dog tooth calcite specimens from Quebec share similar characteristics to those found in other regions. They typically exhibit well-formed rhombohedral crystals with a shape reminiscent of dog teeth or nail heads. The color of dog tooth calcite in Quebec can vary, including white, yellow, brown, gray, and occasionally orange or pink. The crystals may display transparency or varying degrees of translucency.
