Description

Locality: Deccan Traps, Maharashtra, India

Description: This one of a kind Green Apophyllite crystal plate from India features a heavy basalt-backed plate covered in pale green Apophyllite crystals. The front face is packed with small blocky to pyramidal green Apophyllite crystals, giving the piece a dense, rough crystal surface with a soft green colour. The specimen has a natural curved shell shape, with exposed dark basalt along the back and edges, showing how the crystal growth formed inside the original volcanic cavity. Its large size makes it better suited as a floor, showroom, or statement display piece rather than a shelf specimen.

Indian Apophyllite specimens are well known from the Deccan Traps, a large volcanic region that has produced Apophyllite, Stilbite, Heulandite, Chalcedony, Quartz, and other cavity-grown minerals for decades. Apophyllite often forms glassy square to pyramidal crystals, while Stilbite commonly appears as creamy, peach, or white bladed sprays and coatings. Green Apophyllite from India is especially popular with collectors because of its colour, clean crystal structure, and association with other cavity-grown minerals.

Spiritually, Green Apophyllite is often associated with calm, clarity, emotional balance, and heart-centered energy. This large crystal plate is often seen as a calming display stone, well suited for a mineral room, meditation space, storefront, or collector’s display.
