Description

Locality: Africa

Description: This Grey Moonstone lapidary rough from Africa features natural feldspar material with soft grey, silver, smoky, and off-white tones. The rough pieces may show cloudy internal zoning, subtle sheen, natural fractures, and occasional flash when cut and polished. This material is suited for cabochons, polishing, carving, wire wrapping, inlay, and other lapidary projects, with each piece offering its own mix of colour, texture, and workable stone character.

Grey Moonstone is a feldspar variety valued for its soft glow and muted neutral colour. African moonstone material is commonly used by lapidary artists for cabochons, palm stones, beads, carvings, and polished display pieces. Its grey body colour gives it a more understated look than white or rainbow moonstone while still keeping the classic moonstone appeal.

In crystal traditions, Grey Moonstone is associated with intuition, calm, and new beginnings. These associations come from spiritual traditions rather than scientifically established properties.
