Description: This one of a kind Mosasaurus head and spine fossil in jacket from Morocco is a large 4 piece wall mounted statement specimen. The display includes a skull section and three spine sections, each set in its original-style surrounding matrix jacket and mounted separately on black wall brackets. The fossil has a tan to sandy brown colour, with visible jaw structure, teeth, vertebrae, bone texture, and prepared matrix around the edges. Set across a wall, the four pieces create a wide museum-style display without needing a floor stand or cabinet.

Mosasaurus was a large marine reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, roughly 66 to 82 million years ago. Moroccan mosasaur fossils are most commonly recovered from phosphate deposits in the Khouribga and Oulad Abdoun Basin region, an area well known for marine reptile fossils, shark teeth, fish remains, and other ocean life from the end of the dinosaur age. These animals were not dinosaurs, but powerful sea-going predators with long bodies, paddle-like limbs, and strong jaws built for hunting fish, ammonites, and other marine animals.

This fossil wall mount is best suited as a large display piece for a fossil collection, retail shop, office, showroom, lodge, restaurant, or private display wall. Because it is shown in multiple jacketed sections, it keeps more of the field-collected look than a fully reconstructed skeleton.
